Licensed in 1981 with call sign OZ1GDI.

In february 2009 I acquired "5p0o" to get a shorter call sign for contesting.

As a lot of hams do not expect a call to start with a number, 5p0o is not a usefull call for contesting. From 2012 I use ou8a in contests.

OZ Flora Fauna

In 2011 I started hunting SMFF's.

I looked at the WFF program and wondered about why OZFF's where placed as they where, and I came into contact with OZ7AEI, Jakob who where a very active WFF'er.

Jakob and I decided to start the OZFF program. Jakob is the Award Manager and I'm the OZFF Coordinator.
