Per, OZ1ILT, is mounting the 40m Rotary Dipole at the Mosley Beam TA-63-N

TA-63-N with TA-40-KR for 40m

It was necessary to make a coil of coaxial cable out of 10 turns with a 25cm diameter close to the antenna connection, because of RF radiation in my shack ( I burned my fingers at the Schurr Key, RF distorted my modulation with compressor on and the power unit of my Automatic Antenna Tuner stopped working when using 1KW) and it reduced the reciever background noise with 5 S units!

Front-to-Side up to -20db !

Statement of Dx contacts in one weekend on 40m in CW with the Rotary Dipole, a new Dx adventure, also during the day time (`)

The Rotary Dipole is better than an Inverted Vee Dipole or Vertical Antenna.

Because a 17m mobile antenna is not available, I shorted a 20m antenna.

If You install the transceiver as I did (see picture) the ventilation of the windowscreen will be an exellent cooling!

Battery control, very important, when using the transceiver without running motor to be sure, You can start the car again!
