I have been in Japan since April 1983 with the exception of a short stay in the USA from Feb 1999 - Aug 2001. Iretired as Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force in Sep 2008 after 26 years of service fromYokota Air Base, Tokyo Japan then relocated to Okinawa, where I hope to stay forever. KA2PF was my original held callsign under the seldom used Auxiliary Military Radio Station (AMRS) call for U.S. Forces in Japan. I've had my reciprocal call, 7J1ADJ since 1987. I had the opportunity to visit both Iwo Jima, and Minami Torishima during my first assignment to Yokota using KA2IJ as well as 7J1ADJ/JD1 (1983-1991) and still have the log books for anyone needing a QSL. I am currently a DOD contractor living in Yomitan, Okinawa; 0.5KM from the beach with some of the best sunsets in the world. Good luck, and see you on the radio.
