Greetings, I’m a retired journalist. My radio passion goes back to 1970s when I was a C.B. & 11 meter operator and later S.W.L. After graduation from the University Of Denver, Colorado in the United States, majoring In mass communication, amateur radio became my hobby in addition to camping, hunting, traveling and collecting antiques. I enjoy working mobile and portable DX. My ham gear is comprised of Icom 756 PRO III, Icom 7000, Icom 2800H, Icom 2100, Kenwood TS 440S, Kenwood D710A, Kenwood 261A, and Ranger AR 3300 (10 meter). My home HF antenna is the German OB 13-6 , 26 meter high from ground level, using the Italian Big Boy Prosistel antenna rotor PST 61D to rotate this monster yagi. My mobile HF antenna is Tarheel 100A-HP. For VHF and UHF operations I use the Diamond X700HA and the Cushcraft 13B2 Boomer.
