I'd been very amazed and keen to listening radio signals eversince schooldays while in the lower Form. Science was my favourite subject and was the best since then.I'd developed and had tried many experiments in electronics, electricals and partially mechanics during my teenage years and had been creditially awarded for the great works done.Still to it very best, and at present I am much interested trying out experiments on remote sensing and robotics.Listening to DXs were my main hobbies..hence as a SWL until I'd accquired my 'B' licence in 1990 only confined to VHF and UHF only then later upgraded to 'A' licence three years later , all the hard works paid off.Presently I'm quite active on the EchoLink ,eQSO,Satelites tracking and APRS modes.Whereas on HF bands I'm much favoured on 20m and 15m and always on the lower portion for CW and ragchews whenever propagations at it lowest. I'm member of the North Borneo DX Groups (NBDXs).Affiliated with the known International DXer's.I'm also with the Borneo Amateur Radio Club (BARC) I was awarded as rare honorary member couple of year ago.I'd been in the commitee for many years and also served as QSL manager for Sabah region, and I've had much contributed to this club mostly in repeater projects. The first repeaters were fully homebrewed,I'd built in the early 90's.I'd had also designed and built duplexers from scraps and it's still fuctioning very well for years. My first DXpedition to the Spratly in 1994 together with Armstrong 9M6BZ first BARC President, and Saliang(Salt)9M6ST and with some known Dxers from the 'G'land,'JAs'and'HS' station That's quite an experienced and memorable one on a world class DXpeditions.I like outdoors, jungle trekking mountain climbing since rock climbing were in my adrenalin in late 90's.I like to travel to see peoples and places. I'm attached to SESB the Electricity Company,in the Accounts Administrative Department.Married in 1980 and had four lovely girls.I've had three grandchildren at present..and coming next to come hi hi. Looking forward into amateur radio as fulltime hobby and to enhance this knowledge to the younger generations in time.As it says technology broadens with time at wider steps..'so far and yet so near, sky's the limit'Amateur Radio still the best of all hobbies and communications.Computers have been part of the tools here for many years for logging,Pile-ups,CW,SSB and other digital modes.I'm still new to APRS and on for Satelites tracking mode.Amateur radio and cyberspace are combined in a very direct way now which creating new global gateways.Dx contacts are now possible through local repeaters and simplex links and conversely a distant repeater also available through computer.I also operate Echolink,eQSO,CQ100,CQ Phone,QSONET and HF remote. Please feel free to look me on the HF bands and any VOIPs.'Good Luck and 73s'..........see you soon! Well! oncoming visitors to Kota Kinabalu are most welcome and very please to help and guide.
