Click for more detail... AB0PC is the club call for the Park County Radio Club, Inc., Bailey Co. We have members in several other neighboring counties of Colorado, and even out of state. We hold a regular net Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. on our premier club repeater: 146.895, with linking to our other three machines. Founded in 1995 we are a small group of dedicated Hams very involved in ARES and other civic activities. Our ARES D.6 has been intimately involved with the many fires in Colorado over the past several years -- most notably the "HAYMAN" fire which consumed 134,000 acres in and around Park County. Civic activities include communications for the International World Championship Pack Burro Races in Fairplay, Leadville and Cripple Creek, Colorado each Summer. In addition to maintaining communications throughout the grueling race Special Event Stations are set up along the 30 mile route. Most of our members belong to Colorado ARES District Six. We also have an active ARRL VE team established to serve those in the area within and without Park County who live as much as 50 - 100 miles from Denver, another center for VE exams. We have four repeaters currently under upgrading, which will be linked very shortly: Bailey area: 146.895, Kenosha Range: 146.910 and 448.175, and Fairplay: 147.090. All require 100 hz. PL. Fairplay is on the work bench right now. Please see our new website at http://www.ab0pc.org 73, de THE OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF THE PCRC, Inc.
