Hi Just became a Ham in October 2010, also took my General in December 2010 . Passed Extra January 29th 2011. used ham test on line as a

study guide. I have had lots of fun talking and making new friends with this hobby. I now plan to learn the morse code.

Have an Icom 7000 and a Yaesu VX7R , both great radio

Added a new radio-- Kenwood TS590S and a new antenna, Cobra Ultra Lite Senior 160 to 10 meters, Set up as an inverted "V" on the side of my tower. Added second inverted "V" antenna going East & West

Also my 2 meter and 440 has been installed on the tower at 50 feet.

My friend Gary N1PKP attaching control cables for rotor and antenna lead to tower on 10-22-2011

New 60 foot tower with a KIO G3TXQ hex beam antenna buitlt by K4KIO installed 10-22-2011

Worked as an Electrician for almost 40 years, hold a Master license, tought SCUBA for 25 years, did all this before becoming a ham. should have done the ham thing years ago. took my first ham test at 68 and passed my extra the day before my 69 Birthday.

Now doing PSK and RTTY Digital. That is fun.
