Click for more detail... Stanley L. Bryn Born August 8, 1927. Worked for Signal Corps as a rated Radio Technician 1943-1944. Enlisted In Navy 8/9/44 as S1c radio technician. Served on USS Alabama, (BB-60) from Feb. 3, 1944 to Sept. 12 1945, Served on USS John W Weeks (DD-701) from Sept 12, 1945 until June 22 1946, released back to USNR status on June 22. First licensed as a Ham Operator (W7LWJ) in late 1946 or early 1947. Served in USAF (T/Sgt, advanced radio/radar) from 1950-1952, 131st Maint. Squadron. Worked as EE design engineer from 1953 to about 1964. Worked from 1964 to 2008 as design engineer for optical thin film products (interference filters). Awarded the Russel Booth award in 2007 for work aboard Historic Naval Ships in the restoration of Radio Communication facilities. Currently still active in the design of optical thin film products and the restoration of WW2 radio equipment for Historic Naval Ships.
