My 50th year in ham radio was reached in July 2008. Previous calls were WV6BBJ, WA6BBJ, WB2HVM, WB6GYJ. I have also operated as OH3/AC6T, OJ0/AC6T, OZ/AC6T and at HC8N and ZF1A. ZF2SL in Grand Cayman in Nov. 2011, May 2013 and May 2014.  OG1M in May 2012.

I prefer CW and enjoy DXing and contesting. Most of my local contesting is from the UCSB club station W6RFU.

I am the Trustee and QSL manager for the UCSB Amateur Radio Club, W6RFU.

Rig: Elecraft K3 + Collins 30L1

Antennas: GP Vert (below); 3 el 10m monobander @ 20ft; 5 el 6m monobander @ 15 ft.

Here is my home QTH antenna - homebrew GP vertical with top and center loading for 80, 40, 30, 20, and 15m bands.

Also a candidate for the ugly antenna award...

10 meter 3 el yagi at 20 ft.

Home brew solid-state 6 meter 500W amplifier

This is my home brew solid-state 6 meter 500W amplifier.  It uses a Freescale LDMOS MRFE6VP61K2.  Now all I need is an opening on 6 meters....  Central Coast CA seems to be the ultimate black hole for 6.

Top view.  Uses an Arduino to control PTT, monitors SWR, VDD, and temperature of the heatsink.
