Click for more detail... Thanks for looking up AG3L. If you would like a QSL card to confirm our QSO I will be glad to QSL by the bureau or direct with a SASE. Please send your QSL card for the wall, and I will proudly post it. SWL reports are also welcome. 100% of my logs are also updated on eQSL (AG) and LOTW automatically. Still looking for Digital WAS. Only need : DE, WY, AK, and HI. In the photo, in addition to myself, it shows my wife Eva, and four of our five grand kids: Olivia, Kaitlin, Megan, and Matthew. Nicholas (not shown) was born on my birthday in August 2008. What a present! My first association with radio was as an 11 year old, when my parents bought me a Hallicrafters S-38E Mark II shortwave receiver for Christmas 1958. I was an avid SWL with my attic long wire. That planted a seed. Much later, I was reintroduced to radio communications through the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), and received courses in military communications and operations, as well as electronics from the US Air Force, of which CAP is part. Down the road this lead me to getting my first amateur license as novice (with CW) in 1984. Along the way, I upgraded to Tech and General. I enjoyed traffic handling in CAP, as well as with AF MARS as AFB1AU. After retiring from CAP-USAF as the PA Wing Chief-of-Staff (Lt Col) at Fort Indiantown Gap, I became involved in my hometown local government of Warminster Township for 9 years first as a member of the planning commission, and later as an elected official, as a member of the Township's governing council for 6 years. Finally after that, I could now get back to my first hobby - amateur radio! After years of radio inactivity, I upgraded to Extra and a short while ago started again on HF. So far, I have contacts with 66 countries, and 47 US states. These were mostly PSK-31 and RTTY - but some phone too. We're having a lot of fun with the hobby. We now have a new Carolina Windom and it is so much better than the old 20 meter single-band dipole. We're getting great reports on the windom. I have 2 HF rigs: Kenwood TS-440 which I use for digital, and a Kenwood TS-2000 which I use for phone. I'm now a VE with both the ARRL-VEC and the W5YI-VEC. I'm an active member of the Warminster Amateur Radio Club (WARC) and a member of its executive board serving as club Vice President / Treasurer. I also belong to the Honolulu ARC (HARC), and the Arizona Outlaws Contest Club (AOCC). Additionally, we put our toe into the D-Star pool by obtaining a DV Dongle. Hobbies besides radio, include flying, steam railroading, travel, and snorkeling with my wife Eva. We have a part-time place in Hawaii, and have our favorite snorkel spots on O'ahu and Kauai. 73's and Aloha, Richard J. Luce, Jr. / AG3L Warminster, PA 18974 AG3L@arrl.net Formally K3EVA.
