Just a little information about AI0L… In the picture above, AI0L and the “DX” gang; (i.e. Chloe, Charlie and Mark), pose for a quick photo opportunity before they make their next HF contact. While Mark is operating, the dogs find their most strategic and comfortable positions under his operating desk.

Mark has been a ham for over thirty (30) years now, and has had the unique privilege of meeting many friends throughout the Amateur Radio community. Special thanks to his mentors: Carey Bryan NY0L and Mike Medford WS0I.

When it comes to B.S., Mark is definitely full of it! (Hi!...) He has three (3) engineering degrees; (i.e. Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Telecommunication Engineering).

The AI0L station is still a work in progress. (As the norm for most stations that never leave this phase.)  The station currently consists of a TS-990, ACOM 2000, and a variety of antennas.  Active antennas: a pair of KT36's stacked, a 4 element SteppIR, a 3 element SteppIR, and a 3 element 40 mono-bander temporarily under test on the bucket truck.

More towers, mono-banders, wire antenna's, and many other antenna projects are planned to be erected in the next year.

Best 73!

In Memory of the former DX gang, now SK's.  (ie. Newt and Sami)
