I grew up around ham radio, with memories of my father WA2WGY calling "CQ, CQ, CQ" in the shack. After studying sprodically for more than 40 years, when it became clear that the code requirement was likely to be dropped, I made the extra effort and passed all four elements in one testing session while there were still four to pass.

Other hams in the family are:

  • My father: WA2WGY
  • My sons: KJ4AYG, KJ4AYF, and N1CKC
  • My Brothers: N2NLY, N4WGY

To help learn Morse code, I wrote some software to create morse code podcasts. I've created a web - Morse Resource that hosts podcasts of daily quotes in rates from 5-30 WPM. I hope they're useful to others.

I hope to QSO with you soon.
