Special Event Amateur (Ham) Radio Station is setup to commemorate Mahamastakabhishekha of Lord Bahubali ( Gometashwara ) - 57 Feet World's Tallest Monolithic (Single Stoned) Statue carved in year 981 AD (That is 1025 Years ago) at Shravanabelogola, Hassan District of Karnataka State in South India.

Gomateshwara is standing on top of hillock, naked exposed to nature and worshipped by JAIN community. Do lookup for Digamgara, Thirthankaras on the net for details.

This Mahamastakabhishekha is performed once in every 12 Years and for the very first time Amateur (ham) radio volunteers have put up simple HF setup to spread the Message of Peace

The event was inaugurated on January 22nd, 2006 and the important days are February 8th to 19th, 2006.


For all requests for direct QSLs, please send SAE with Air mail label,and two IRCs ONLY. Plain requests / without IRCs will be answered via the QSL buro

We do have few of the Senior Hams as VU2UR, VU2LX and VU2NXM who helped the event go in a big way.

Government of India has given Special Permission from 22nd Jan to 25th Feb 2006 vide Letter No. L-14011/108/2005-AMT Dated 10-Jan-2006, New Delhi allocating this special callsign AT6MM for Demonstration purposes.
