Greetings from Bangalore Amateur Radio Club - VU2ARC

On the Occation of National Disaster Reduction Day being celebrated we had proposed for setting up Special Event Station from 15th to 17th Nobember 2007 to be operational from the venue of International Exhibition and Seminar at auditorium of St. Joseph's Indian Boy's High School, Vittal Mallya Road, Bangalore.

The following group of 14 Amateur (Ham) Radio Volunteers have been issued with special callisgn to operate from this Special Event

VU2JHM - Ajoy ; VU2UR - Manohar (Arasu) ; VU2GGM - Girimaji ; VU2LNN - Nagesh ; VU2LX - Lakshman ; VU2POP - Pratap ; VU2GUR - Guru ; VU2QNY - Ismail ; VU2LU - Ramesh ; VU3NOI - Suresh ; VU2CML - Satish ; VU3HDP Suresh ; VU3HDK - Sridhar and SWL122 - Yugadhi

This Special Permission, Callsign is allocated by the Government of India , Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Department of Telecommunications, WPC Wing, Amateur Section, New Delhi vide letter No. L-14011/640/2007-AMT Dated 8th November 2007.

The same group would be participating in the 3rd Emergency Communication Party on the Air from their respective home QTH as Emergency Communication Exercise on 11th November 2007 which is included in the above permission granted by the Government of India. Special Postal Cover with Special Postal Cancellation on occation of "National Disaster Reduction Day" is going to be issued by the Postal Authorities on 15th Novemeber 2007 with efforts from VU2LCI - Lions International Stamp Club - LISC India Chapter # 3.
