On 1st January 2008 the official currency of The Republic of Cyprus changed from the Cyprus Pound to the Euro. To celebrate this historic event, members of the Pafos District of The Cyprus Amateur Radio Society will use the call C4EURO throughout 2008. C4EURO will be QRV on HF and VHF, on Phone, CW and Data modes.

Thanks for the pile ups!! We had around 23,000 QSO's in 2008 with this call.

Due to the success of this call-sign, it has been reissued for 2009, so it will be continued to be used for the rest of 2009.
