Co-founder and actual president of Associação de Radioamadores de Entre Tâmega e Douro(ARETD).

Member Rede dos Emissores Portugueses (REP) #1877, EPC #02129, 30MDG #3652.

Active amateur radio operator licensed since 1992 (USA) and 2004 (Portugal). Independent journalist and photographer with a degree in Media Sciences and working on a Masters in Journalism from Univ. de Trás os Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD).

Station: Kenwood TS-850S and Icom IC-706. Aditional monitoring for IARUMS R1 via Funcube Pro Plus, AOR3000 and ICOM PCR1000. Antennas TX/RX: Vertical 12m 80-10m and Solarcon A99 for 15-12-10 meters. RX only: PA0RDT Mini-Whip, Longwire w/ 9:1 balun.

Active on SSB, CW and digital modes. When weather permits, you can find me in outdoor and portable activities, including Summits on the Air (SOTA), World Flora and Fauna (WFF) and International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend (ILLW) activations, amogst others.
