November 6th, 1922, was the date when the process of founding broadcasting in Uruguay culminated, with the first transmission of Radio Paradizabal, the pioneer Uruguayan commercial broadcaster. Therefore, in 2012 we celebrated the 90th anniversary of radio broadcasting in Uruguay, and Radiogrupo Sur wants to commemorate this event with various activities.

In particular we will be activating the special callsign CW9ØA, which will be operating in all amateur bands and all modes for the rest of the 2012 and part of 2013.
