I am licenced since 1973 and have been dedicated to VHF / UHF DX from the early
Beginning.

The Location at 335m asl is not ideal for VHF with higher Mountains from NNE to SSE
(Elevation 1.3...2.0, see topographic Map further down) but Tropo Ducting, Meteor
Scatter, E-Sporadic and almost unlimited Patience sometimes contribute to the desired
DX :-)

Favourite Mode: SSB but also QRV on WSJT MS, PSK2k MS (and CW if unavoidable :-)

New DOK since 2006: B34 (DARC District Lauf / Nuremberg County)

SET-UP, Home QTH JN59PM (335m asl):

modified FT-847  6m: QRP,  2m: BEKO HLV-1000 / 11el / LNA, 70cm: 500W (homemade
3CX400A7 PA) / 19el / LNA

AWARDS (worked exclusively on SSB): 144/432MHz: DARC EUROPE AWARD "TROPHY" #182 (2004)

HF: DXCC Phone #12208 (1981)

Member of the Middle Franconian V-U-SHF Group

Since May 2008 I also make Use of a generous Offer made by my old Friend DK1FG already many Years ago:
To operate from his 144MHz Top Class Station (Mountain QTH JN59OP) and to use the Site / Facilities
whenever I want. TNX Gerhard !
The QTH is 25km NNW of here and I am mainly QRV from there during Contests (to give away Points to active
Participants) as well as prolonged Tropo Ducting.

SET-UP: IC-7700, Kuhne TR144H+40, various LDMOS-FET and Tube Linears, Power Output 750W
