Licenced in 1966 and dedicated to 144 MHz DX from the early Beginning.

The Basis of 48 Years of highly successful DX and Contest Activity has been a Combination of:

1.) The excellent Location at the southern Rim of the "Franconian Switzerland" Mountains about
     30km North of Nürnberg (Nuremberg)

2.) The Height of the Antenna above Ground (55m)

3.) The High-Performane Antenna Array itself (until 1975 8x20el collinear Cushcraft DX-120,
     afterwards a special Design of 8x15el Jaybeam Parabeam)

From 1970 to 1977 about 450 EME QSOs on CW and SSB were made.

SET-UP: IC-7700, Kuhne TR144H+40, various Mosfet and Tube Linears, Output 750W,
Feeder Cable 1 5/8" Cellflex, LNA: Medium-Power GaAsFET Module.
