Hi friends - thanks for looking up my entry here.
Started with this wonderful hobby in 2002 after getting my license at the first attempt.

First QSOs were done QRP CW on 40 meters.

I am very happy being on air. Mostly working CW and SSB, sometimes Digi Modes.

Actual station setup is at limited space :

  • OCF Sloper Dipole covering 80-40-30 m (homemade)
  • Five band compact top loaded vertical MA5V for 20-17-15-12-10 m
  • Four element OWL Yagi for 2 m pointing to the North
  • Several old school as well as new type radios
    FT-7, TR-4C/RV-4C

    FT-950 & MTU-80/40 Preselector
    FT-857D, FT-817 for portable activities
  • For 80 & 40 m : Yaesu FL-2100Z Amp up to 250 watts max.
  • Keys : Junker Straight Key, Schurr Bug, Schurr Profi I, Schurr Portable.

While permanently experimenting with antennas my signal may be weak -
if this happens the new setup did not have improved it ! Hi Hi.

Actual homebrew projects : one tube transceiver for 40 meters 1-DER-40
(built and works!), KNE QRP-Mini 80, QRp14 3-band, KNE QRP-99, Tube TX "AT-1" .

Rarely read the dx clusters (no multimedia operations)
but post a station from time to time into it.

The educational / guest call DN6SRD I've added 2006 to give my three children
the chance to find out the fun of ham radio.

Hope to meet you on the bands. 73 Roland DL6SRD
