In my new RadioroomDec 2010 Smile
The new Baby RF linear amplifier is a noncommercial Prototype ,made by a very good friend of mine .Its under test, works throughout from 1.8 MHz to 29.7 MHz and has proofed several 24 Hrs duty without heating up higher than 35 C temperature at a low noise cooling Van.All my other Amps that I had did not withstand such extreme use at all.
There are some considerations for a few changes like 2 Inputs for more than 1 Radio as we already have a build in Antenna Switch for 2 Antennas.Soon a 5 KW and a 8 KW Version could be coming up ,not to break the law in Maximum Power ,the Reason is we hear waytomany bad Signals on the Bands from AMPs that are running at their Maximum Output of 1500 Watts driven from TX with 100 Watts input to achieve the legal Output and getting totally overdriven.Check the Bands on a Contest weekend and make up your mind ,you will sure understand where we are coming from with that Opinion. If our Tests continue to be such a big succsess as it started we do plan a very small Production of individual and personalised Amplifiers.
A remote Tuner capable of 5 KW will go online here in a few days to match my 250 Meter Longwire,as all commercial Tuners on the Market failed with such a high Impedance at the Feedpoint.
It all will be in the well known German quality.
