About me:

Licensed in 1977 at the age of 15 years I was very active on VHF until the end of the 80's with at least 1 kW from a K2RIW-Amplifier into a 17-El.-F9FT-Yagi working SSB, CW and Highspeed-MS. That gave me lot of nice contacts and heavy TVI in the neighbourhood. smiley

End of the 80's I start working only on the Shortwave-Bands and made 331 DXCC until today with mostly only 100 Watt into GP-Antennas, mainly the R-Serie from Cushcraft. I hope to catch the Rest also sometimes, but that's very difficult with my small Station. sad

During these years I had a lot of Transceivers like the Kenwood TS-930, TS-940, TS-850, TS-50, Yaesu FT-757GXII, FT-901DMFT-1000, FT-1000MP, FT-2000, FT-950, Icom IC-706mkII and IC-775DSP.

As I am also still interested in chasing DX on the Shortwave-Bands my TRX in the moment is again a Yaesu FT-2000, after selling my IC-775DSP (Very good TRX but I didn't get familiar with Icom-Rigs) and the FT-950 that I used for a few months. With the last Software-Update Yaesu made it a very fine Transceiver and it's very nice to have one back in the shack again.

In 2009 I changed my QTH and get infected by the VHF-Virus again. After building my Antennas (thanks to DK7ZB) and an Elecraft XV144-Transverter for my Yaesu FT-2000 I'm now QRV mostly on the VHF-Bands in SSB, CW and FSK441. End of September 2010 I sold my FT-2000 and bought the Yaesu FT-847 and a Gtting-4CX250-Amplifier for 2m. In May 2011 working at the antennas was finished and now I'm using a 9-El.-DK7ZB-Yagi on 2m and a 4-El.-DK7ZB-Yagi on 6m as you can see on the picture.

Update 2012: After a long time of searching I had luck and in March I bought a BEKO HLV-300 Amplifier for VHF and sold the good old 4CX250B-Amplifier. It gave up to 250 Watt on VHF in SSB, CW and WSJT-Modes.

Update 2014: I bought a homemade SSPA with 2x SD2932 .  This PA didn't look professionell like the BEKO, but it works. Now after 4 Months it's rebuild and looks much more professional. Now I can use ~400 Watt in all modes without any problem. Many thanks to DG3LV, Tobi, for his help !!smiley

Update 2015: New station on 2m is FT-2000 with TR-144H-Transverter by DB6NT. First tests showing ~3dB less groundnoise and better S/N-ratio. Sounds good and works good also!!

Build FA-Stationmanager by DH8BQA and now I have Voicekeyer, CW-Keyer and Sequencer in one box.

Installed PEP-Board into my Bird43. If you own a Bird43 it's a must-have.

Update 2016: I'm just configuring a Microham MicroKeyer II, to make it work with my FT-2000. Took me some time to make all things run as expected but now all is ok.

At least I bought a PowerMaster-Wattmeter that will be used on the HF-Bands. A little oversized for my 100Watt-Rig but ........

And now my Highlight since I'm qrv on 2m:

When I'm at the station you can meet me in the ON4KST-Chat to arrange Skeds.

I'm member in DARC OV Lübeck, DOK E03 and Station-Manager for the Clubstation DL0LK .

Also member of the Hanseatic-DX-Club e.V .

Hope to meet you on the bands sometimes.

Picture from our actvity during the CQWPXSSB-Contest 2012 from Lighthouse Westerhever Sand in the North Sea.

Under the call DA0T we made abt. 2500 QSO with abt. 950 Prefixes into 111 Countries. Result were 5.100.000 Points.

Antennas were 2 x 32m-Dipol up 35m and Groundplanes from 10m - 40m.
