ARRL LoTW has approved E51WWB for North Cook credit as of 3 March 2010 and will be issuing the LoTW certificate shortly. I should have the E51WWB log loaded onto LoTW by the end of 5 March. QSL cards are being printed and should be delivered by 6 March.
E51WWB was QRV from 3 Feb thru early 18 Feb 2010. I have a total of 7,000 entries in the log. QSL via AD7AF. See instructions on AD7AF page. E51WWB is licensed for Manihiki, North Cook Islands and that is where I was QRV with this call sign. Activity will be on bands from 10 thru 40 meters, mainly CW and SSB. The band/mode at any time will depend on the best propagation available. This is a personal, one transmitter - one operator dxpedition. The log will be loaded onto LoTW when I return to the U.S. at the end of February to early March 2010.
My sincere apologies to RTTY fans. It's a long sad story, but the bottom line is that my RTTY capability was broken. Also, apologies to some broken runs and partially completed QSOs at about 0200 UTC every day. The Manihiki power company (such as it is) shut off the generator every day about 0200 UTC for a routine maintenance check. The exact time was unpredictable.
No QSOs were made on 10 meters nor on 40 meter SSB. There's still a lot of broadcast QRM on the 40 meter band and propagation was generally not good enough for 40 SSB. I called CQ on 40 SSB on various occasions for a total of about 15 minutes with no results. That time would have been better spent remaining on CW. 73, Dick, AD7AF, E51WWA, South Cook, and E51WWB, North Cook.
