About us:

Radio Club "Stjepan Polje" was founded in October 1973rd , as a PPS (transceiver section) Radio Club Gracanica. The club was founded with the help of teacher Habib Džananović and then president of the Radio Club "Nedžib Čeljo" from Gračanica.During the course participants radiotelegraphy and telephone traffic were students of sixth-and seventh-graders at Stephen Field. After hard work and learning access to the deposit of knowledge before a commission composed of Zeljko Matic, Nedžib Celje and Zvonko Valenta. It happened to 23 December 1973rd year, only two months from the date of the Radio Club. Hams in Stjepan Polje got the call sign YU4ESP, and were part of the Radio Club Gracanica. Participating in various competitions began to win diplomas, trophies and other awards. Radio Club Stjepan Polje is separated from the Radio Club Gracanica 1990th and is situated in the cultural center and as an association of citizens. To this day through the book of records, which promptly leads, it's been more than a hundred to two hundred hams who have passed one of the amateur class. Established a few hundred thousand of links to all the continents (confirmed with more than 250 countries) in the competitions won over 500 degrees, 100 trophies and over 100 medals. Upon the outbreak of war in Croatia the lead Radio Club have carried out a membership update, operators, equipment possessed by the Club and is actively involved in the activities of the Republican Association of radio amateurs. Thanks to the knowledge and technique of radio amateur Radio Club "Stephen Field" gave one of the first concrete and fruitful contribution to the fight against the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina.In the function of defending the dignity and freedom of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina hams have put all their personnel, expert and life (one member of the Radio Club was killed), and other resources in defense of their homeland. All members were actively involved in various ways and most of them as members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina have contributed to the defense of these and other areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the beginning of the aggression against the enemy tried to destroy the facilities and equipment which the club disposed of, in which he substantially succeeded. Several times they are directly affected by the Radio Club rooms, roof and antenna system, where the created damage. Almost the entire war period was from neuslovnih izmještenih and locations, and most often without electricity, with the help of borrowed generators or batteries, or a loss how otherwise, including separating from his own pocket for used impluse or kiloWatts of electricity. After examining the archival wartime documents show that during the period from 1992nd to 1996th was held over 15,000 contacts with hams from all over the world.
Hams are humble and proud people. Dealing with a hobby that many people do not understand or will not understand. A long been in force for the people of special interest. In wartime, even for people of particular human interest, because it makes the miracle of bringing together separate, finding the lost, helping injured . But, as is usual in life, everything goes and goes. In pleiad earned the name in gold letters ostaže recorded the names of unsurpassed enthusiasts, humanists, and good people, above all, such as:
Habib T94QR (today as E74QR), Mevludin T95M (today as E75M), Resho T94QI (today as E73QI), Ibrica T94IH, Izudin T94ZZ (today as E74ZZ) BEHAD T94QP (today as E77FA) and others also deceased Hamdija Omerović and Munib Krušlić carrying merit in the club: Three times champion of Yugoslavia, FRY Cup trophy winner, the winner of republican competition, champions of Canton, and others.
