I was born in Elche SE Spain on 1965 my hometown. After several years studing to be Electronic Engineer, and living in Stevenage (Herts) UK, I return home to be in charge of my family's company. I got married with Isabel on 1991 and have one son Antonio (1993) and one daugther Isabel (1997).
I share my free time between my two hobbies: Ham radio and angling from my boat. On the right side of this text you can see my last big catch on April 2011, which I am very proud of.
After passing the test, I was first licensed on October 6th, 1981 with the callsign EC5ANY. On June 26th, 1982 I upgraded to "A" Class. Then, I got the callsign EA5DFH. Some years later, I decided to apply for a vanity call. It's then, on June 1987 when I got the call EA5BY.
I am an active DX chaser and Contester on CW and SSB mainly, but sometimes you can find me playing some digital modes as well. I have operated with the following contest group callsigns: AM5BY, AM5M, AO1DX/5, EA1DX, EA1DX/5, EA3CQQ/5, EA5BQB/p, EA5BY, EA5DFH, EA5RS, EA8ZS, EA9OB, ED5M, ED6DXX, EE5E, EF5HQ, EF8HQ.
On February 24th 2012, I have been appointed as a DXCC Card Checker, by the ARRL.

I like QSL cards so much and I have a nice collection. I always answer all BURO cards and SWL reports. I reply all received direct cards on the same day normally. I am a LoTW user and I upload my logs monthly. I do not use e-QSL.
