QSL VIA ZB2JK

My Name is John and I can be heard on HF, voice/Data Modes and ocasionally on VHF on SSB.

Station is located just to the North of La Linea, in a small sub district called "Santa Margarita". The town of La Linea is the border town with Gibraltar (ZB2) located in the very South of Spain, I have both the Med and Atlantic seas very close to me, Med is 600m and Atlantic 3 KM Away.

Was using the call EA7/M0JAF for some time, and lot of stations will know me as EA7/M0JAF.smiley, due to spending more time in Spain took out a local EA7 call (issued 4th September 2012)

RADIO SET UP:

YAESU FT 950/897/857/817 (FT 950 used as main TRX with a Heil HC 4 headset)

AMPLIFIER is a YAESU FL 2100Z (400-1KW PEP) or a FURUNO PA 2500 Marine Amp 200-400w. (solid state).

ANT's are a 2 Element Tribander Yagi (mosley) and a CUSHCRAFT R6000 Vertical, and for the lower bands use home made Antenna arrangements, found all over the garden (wife uses to hang out washing seems to dry quicker)

.

For Data Modes I use the Yeasu FT 897 (40-50W) into a sloper home made vertical (10m long on a magnetic balun @ 15m high) tunes well from 80-6m and to decode the signals use theSignal Link USB Interface.

For Mobile I use the Yaesu FT 857 with the ATAS 120 Antenna only when parked up or the Antenna will fall off the roof! as I only use a Mag Mount and for power use the cig lighter socket so never more than 50w. For Portable or when out of town out comes the nice and small Yaesu FT817, with a wire usually thrown out of a Hotel window or where ever i can attach it.
