He got his first Class C license in 1983 (EC7CHE Callsign), beginning with a 10-mtrs monoband equipment with which he succeded to work many countries. At the same time he was stuyding Electronics. One year later, in 1984, he got his First Class license with the callsign EA7FKN. By that time, he bought a YAESU FT-7 multiband QRP, that he later changed for the complete YAESU FT-707 line, broadening the number of countries contacted in a short period.

At that time he began his professional work within the telecommunications world adquiring a KENWOOD TS-440S with which he requested his actual callsign EA7OC.

Previous equipments: KENWOOD TS711S, KENWOOD TS950SD, ICOM IC-820H, ICOM IC706MK2G, KENWOOD TS2000,ICOM IC756PROIII, YAESU FT-8900...

Since 2001 he is authorized to operate the1,2 GHz band. Today, he has contacted more than 300 countries and as equipment he has a ICOM IC7700 for HF and 6-mts and a ICOM IC910H for V-UHF (145, 430 & 1200MHz), being active in all bands and modes, as well as in satellites. Active in EA7URC-5 DX-Cluster.

A KENWOOD TM-D710 is used for APRS in base and TinyTrack4 at mobile.

The Icom ID-51 is the dual band hand-held transceiver that I use across ED7ZAD DStar Gateway for communications and positioning mobile.
