Hello,

My Name is Charlie, welcome to my QRZ bio.I have been licensed since 1995 and I am active on HF, CW & Digital modes. I operate APRS, VHF/UHF mobile, fixed & Satellite.

I am also licensed as VA3IRL, which is an Advanced class of licence. I use this call when I operate from Canada on my regular visits to see my family.

My current station consists of a Yaesu FT1000MP, Hustler 6BTV Vertical Antenna , G5RV & Dipole for 5MHz. On digital modes I use a SignaLink USB Interface with MixW Software. My Locator is IO63rr, for those of you that collect worked all Ireland Squares my W.A.I .square is N97.

For portable fun I have the Yaesu FT 60r HT (5 w) with a dual band Arrow Antenna Portable Yagi for Satellite work model 146/437-10. I am active with the AO-27 & AO-51 Satellites I also use a Yaesu FT 7800 in my mobile, with the TinyTrak4 Tracker unit.

I am a member of IRTS, the Irish Radio Transmitters Society & edit the weekly IRTS Radio News for the Scoiety.The IRTS is the member for Ireland of the IARU and affiliated to IARU's region 1.

I am active on the air during my free time and belong to two groups in my general area the Dundalk Amateur Radio Society & the Crossakiel Amateur Radio Association.

I am a member of AREN the National Emergency Communications group.

I enjoy all areas of our great hobby and am a member of the following digital groups. FH # 1966, 30MDG # 2088, EPC # 6123 & DMC # 2092. If we met via qso thank you for taking the time to work my station, I look forward to exchanging QSL's. Sked's and SWL reports are also welcome.
