BORDEAUX: the city well known for the wine ! (FRANCE)

F1GHY in Bordeaux ( IN94ru west-South of France):

QRV with: FT847 (HF V-UHF), IC 725 (HF), Multi 725 (VHF), FT811 (UHF), FT411 (VHF), Alinco DJ-F1 (VHF) and DR 635 (V-UHF)

HF antenna: Long wire (20m and 10m long) from the 2nd floor of my QRA, with other building around ! and autotuner AT100pro, tuner MFJ-902, and home made.

V-UHF antenna: Grrr, no access to the roof ! so only inside antenna  ;..o(( . So, i made dipoles, colineaires, etc...

I try too a JPS ANC 4: It is a box that inject in opposed phase the local QRM pick from a other small antenna or the ground: it is some time useful in a city.

Software: Lot software as DX-lab suite, Ham radio deluxe suite, Multipsk  and MixW, Easypal, Dream, Power sdr, Winrad, Spectrum lab and some other. All this on a 1.8 Ghz computer with windows XP.

Traffic: Born in January 1964, licensed since 1980, in the North of France (Roubaix). I almost stooped traffics from 1991 to 2006. Since i came in Bordeaux for works, I traffic again on VHF, UHF, and HF. Some local v-uhf traffic some time in mobile, some 80 and 40 m traffic (ssb and digimodes), with some DX, but my antenna are not so QRO ! I tried OM satellites reception and meteo satellites reception (137 Mhz), meteor burst reception (reflection from TV transmitters) on 50 Mhz. and other band reception (hf, v-uhf).

Tnx to All of ham around the world: Ham was a real help for me when i was teenager, and a real pleasure today ! So, special thanks to ham and radio club and their HAM SPIRIT, pse keep it alive.

73's and 88 to your QRA
