Hello world !

36 years old, licensed since dec 2009 (TX'ing since sep 2010) after ~20 years of SWL'ing to HF utilities, digimodes and VHF/UHF local nets.
My main hobbies are: HF utilities monitoring, digimodes analysis, HF mobile, linux, tweaking & DIY.
You can find me on the irc channel #wunclub@starchat.net & on the UDXF Yahoo group under the nick "linkz", both well known places for HF utilities monitoring addicts

I'm working as a telecommunications technician in microwave links for mobile phone networks of France (preparing LTE/4G)
My professional road trips during job/daytime are mostly located in the middle east France area, grid locators > JN(1|2|3)(4|5|6|7)

I'm often active during local evenings from my favorite "static mobile" location in JN25pj, on top of the hill at 600m/2000ft ASL (department 38/FR),
a quiet place with 360° clear field of view, no neighbours, no powerlines, no QRM and not far away from Home, nearly perfect.

I like joining DX nets, you can find me sometimes on:
* ANZA (14183kHz usb starting at 0515z), greetings to controllers VK4SWE Lyn, VK1TX Tex, ZL1RD Rob, VK4CC Col, VK4LJ John, VK7XX John, VK4LMB Mike, VK4HQ Terry
* 247-DXNET (14247kHz usb starting at 2000z), greetings to controllers AA0BS Lorraine, KP4BME Jose, W2AF Jack, VE3QN Brian
* Arabian Knights (14250kHz usb starting at 0500z on Friday only), greetings to controller JY5HX Dr. Munzer

I'm also active some days on the HFLink net using MIL-STD 188-141B Appendix A (aka ALE), running 50-80W in the skyloop antenna -> HFlink.net for more informations on the net

I'm using the APRS system via TCP/IP on my smartphone, running iBCNU software via T2FRANCE server
You can follow my road trips via this link: APRS.FI
