Some information on my hobbies

I listening the old world on a radio of 20's, she works very well, even today

I collect old radio TSF, manufactured by company DUCRETET, become DUCRETET Thomson (USA) in 1936
I puts back them in good working order, inside & outside, often after 60 or 80 years of silence.

Fast repairing of old TSF (BCL)
After change of some capacitors, and checking the voltages of the tubes.
I make a realignment of the oscillating circuits.
This model is of 1937, there are all current, it does not have an electric transformer.
the adjustment of the voltage this fact by metal plates located in the back of the frame.
all the filaments of the tubes are in series, so, If a tube is cut, the radio does not work.

Other exemple of complete restoration to the inside & outside of one old BCL DUCRETET of 1926

Before restoration

Power supply in bad state

Back panel

front panel

Checking of all elements : Tubes, resistors, capacitors, electric transformers, various short-circuits

checking of high frequency block & oscillating circuits

checking of electric transformers (voltage, short-circuit), & checking of the valve tube & ballast resistor

Cheking of tubes with METRIX checker

Replacement high voltage capacitors, but I leave the old capacitors to keep original aspect

verification of cabling, all is OK :-))

replacement of tunning scale, very damaged with time

Restoration of the woodwork and front paint

*** 1 week later ***

My BCL with his original loudspeaker

Below, my power supply home made, for the radio battery 20's.

She gives the voltage necessary for my old radio
80 to 120 volt for plates
40 volt for grids
0 to 16 volt for polarization
0 to 4 volt for filaments

Some rare tubes of my collection TSF
only manufactured by DUCRETET in the 20's years, these rare tubes were called "Bigrilles Red JM".
( Behind 3 rare french tubes of emission of the 20's ).

I make it again, with to tubes of type NOVAL, for saved the rare originals.

left (copy home made) --- right (original).

I collect the old IBM PC, since 15 years
All restored, them work very well,

I was lucky enough to have found manuals and diskettes of maintenance for the repaired.

Below the first IBM transportable model 5155, of 1983, very rare

Other models : IBM PC 5160, 5160XT, PC AT ( advanced technology ) 5170, model PS1, PS/2 model 55SX, 70-386, 50Z, 30, 30-286, 30-286 55SX, 56-486SLC2, 486-DX4, and many others, not in picture.

Picture of the first transmission of TSF in Paris (france), between Eiffel Tower and Pantheon = 3 kms !!!

In 1898, With Eugene DUCRETET and the Russian, Alexander Stepanovich Popov
