I have my F6 call since 1980 after moving to France with my job in 1979. Active on HF bands only, with an FT950 or a TS450 @ 100W, a 40M long doublet (inverted V), and a Z-Match. On 17M, 40M & 12M mostly at present, sometimes on 80M or 20M. I enjoy a chat, (conditions permitting), not a 60secs "QSO".
Originally licenced as G3RTH in 1963, having been an SWL since ~1959. Mostly active on 160M for several years, it was very different in those days, all home-built, mostly valve, transmitters, and with only 10W on Topband! Then from ~1967, only intermittantly active, due to studying, to work, and having a family!! Now we are both retired, and I have more time for radio, when she agrees !!!!
NB. I lost interest in QSLs in the 70s, and I have no current bureau membership, if I receive a card I will print one on the pc and return it, otherwise no QSLs, I do check eQSL and QRZ regularly, à bientôt, Phil
