I was licenced in 1957. After almost 10 years devoted to HF modes my main interest shifted to VHF, UHF, SHF and later LASER.

During the sixties I acheived first contacts with more than 25 countries in CW MS.

In 1966 I started EME on 144 in team with F1BF (now F6BEG),F1HR and shared the very first France-USA EME contact with W6DNG on January 27th 1967,  then other firsts with OH1NL and SV1AB.

I also recevied in 1969 the gold medal from the International Institute of Communications in Genova for the first contacts by moon and meteor bounces.

During the seventies I experimented with 10 GHz and 24 GHz, then LASER. In team with F1AVY we performed many experiments including a 40 km long LASER contact by reflection (no direct visibility) on mountains, and the proof of the existence of our technologic civilisation by "listening" lunar-reflected earth-light. All details are on F1AVYopto.wifeo.com

Presently I am a retired teacher and practice mainly digital mode on 144 EME. I am also watercolor painter, you can have a look at www.marius-cousin.com.

I hope to celebrate the 50th birthday of the first France/USA...
