Radio Activity

I was first licensed for VHF in 1991 as G7IYL, then for HF in 1992 as G0RPM, although had to go QRT in 1994. I restarted my Amateur Radio activities in May 2007. I am a member of the following organisations.

- The Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB)

- The World Association of Christian Radio Amateurs and Listeners (#936)

- Southgate Amateur Radio Club

- Verulam Amateur Radio Club

- Chiltern DX Club (CDXC)

- European PSK Club (#2971)

- 30M Digital Group (#6258).

I am QRV on all bands 10m - 80m using SSB, PSK31 and RTTY plus a little CW. I enjoy rag chewing, contesting and trying new aspects of the hobby.

I've had a lot of fun collecting a few operating awards: DXCC on 8 bands (including 5BDXCC), Worked All Continents (WAC), Worked All Europe Class 1 (WAE - I), Worked All States (WAS),IARU Region 1 Class 2, BARTG Golden Jubilee Award and the GR2HQ Gold Award in 2011.

From 5 May to 10 June 2012 I will be operating as GQ0RPM, a special callsign issued to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of the Accession of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. QSL info as for G0RPM (below).

From 21 July to 9 September 2012 I will be operating as GO0RPM, a special callsign issued to mark the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. QSL info as for G0RPM (below).

From 29 April to 9 May 2011 I operated as GR0RPM, a special callsign issued to commemorate the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011. QSL info as for G0RPM (below).

I am happy to exchange QSL cards viabureau or direct (also LotW for G0RPM). I acknowledge 100% of QSL cards and welcome reports from Short Wave Listeners. For direct QSL please send Self-Addressed Envelope with $2 or 2€ for return postage.
