Involved with Amateur radio from the early 90's after many years of shortwave listening, passing the RAE and later the 12 wpm morse exam in 1996 to obtain the full UK licence. Main interest HF, both DXing and IOTA with nearly 300 countries worked up to now. Actively involved in contesting with Sands Contest Group http://www.m0scg.org.uk

Morecambe is a small seaside town with a population of 50,000 people with wonderful views of the Lake District mountains famed for its wonderful sunsets.

Co-sysop of GB7MBC, one of the busiest European DXClusters and the first DXCluster to use internet linking in the UK. The cluster runs under Linux/DXspider and is accessible from the website http://www.gb7mbc.net or telnet gb7mbc.spoo.org port 8000

Main station equipment a Yaesu ft1000mp mark-V and a Kenwood TS2000 for HF.

Antennas are a Force 12 C3SS 6 element beam turned by a Yaesu G-1000SDX on a 45' mast and a W3DZZ trap dipole. Audio provided by a Heil Goldline GM-5.


Primarily working SSB, you can find me every weekday morning at 9.00am on or around 3.662 mhz chairing the "Coast to Coast" Net.

Now have an NOV for 5MHZ and enjoying it thoroughly :)
