Thanks for checking out my info. All QSL's will be answered 100%. I am always happy to receive e-mails from old friends and new so don't be shy e-mail me at chrisg1vdp@btinternet.com and I will reply as soon as is possible.

I was first licensed way back in 1985 and operated up to the point of getting married in 1987. It was then 2004 when I renewed my licence following the announcement that Class B licensees had HF privileges, which is where I wanted to be. I have always found learning CW hard, but now I am enjoying operating on HF usingCW and learning Morse code receiving my own call up to 40WPM. I am also active on all other data modes and I would be happy to try a sked with any one requiring England on the HF bands for any awards.

I am a founder member of the Strumble Head DX and contest club http://www.mc0shl.com a group of friends who enjoy DX'ing, pile ups, and contesting. We activate Strumble Head Lighthouse using the call GB0SH, Strumble Head Lighthouse over the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend.

Among the many other radio groups I am a member of are CDXC, BARTG, ARRL, and RSGB. I am also an active member of the British Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society (http://www.barls.org.uk) activating Cornish Lighthouses when on holiday in that area. And I am very active on 30M RTTY, and a member of the 30M digital Group #1432 (http://www.30meterdigital.org).

Now using G3TXQ Hexbeam built by Ant, MW0JZE. See his website http://www.g3txq-hexbeam.com/ for details on building this fantastic antenna.

My other hobbies include Scuba diving, restoring classic italian scooters, and course fishing. I work in Logistic Support for a company called Fraikin dealing with the many differenttrucks, vans, trailers and agricultural pieces of kitthat Fraikin have on contract hire to a varied range of customers.
