SCAM WARNING

Be warned that somebody has been using my name and postal address for a scam in which "wanted ads" are answered with requests to send money to fictitious individuals at dubious addresses. The scammer uses the email address tonywads10@gmail.com

I was first licenced in August 1959 and I have receive and transmit capabilities on all bands from 160m to 23cms, including 60m (5MHz). My partner, Anne, also has a Full Licence (M1AIM)and can therefore use my equipment on all bands except 60m, as she does not have the necessary Notice of Variation for operation on that band.

I am a member of the Radio Society of Great Britain and the Horsham Amateur Radio Club but Anne is only a member of HARC. I have been Station Master of the Billingshurst and District Net (BADNET), which is the de facto Horsham Club Net, for over 35 years. This net operates on 3722kHz +/- QRM, every Sunday and Christmas Day, starting at 10.00hrs local time.

I currently use a Yaesu FT-1000 into either a Carolina Windom or an 18AVT vertical antenna on the HF bands and a Yaesu FT-726R with vertical antennas on 2m and 70cms and beam antennas on 6m, 2m and 70cms. The 4m equipment consists of a home-brew 28MHz to 70MHz transverter, driven by the FT1000, into an indoor halo antenna and the 23cms equipment consists of a home-brew 144MHz to 1296MHz transverter, driven by a Yaesu FT-221R, into a 24 element yagi antenna. I have home-brew linear amplifiers for all the bands that I can operate on, except for 160m and 60m.
