Interests: CW, DX chasing on 160 and LF bands, home-brewing for LF 136 &472 KHz, contesting, rag-chewing, antennas.

Rigs: K3, TS850S, FL2100Z, Titan III. Key: K8RA P-4 Iambic

Mobile: Many years operating mobile on 160 with home brew gear, later a much modified Atlas180 and these days an IC-706 with a set of Hustler whips.

Work: MD since 1989 of Telemetry Consultants Limited, representing a number of US companies in the telemetry and instrumentation business. The business is now on the 'back-burner' and I'm enjoying retirement.

QSL Policy: In these days of mobile telephones, e-mail and easy world-wide communications, I can see no point in exchanging QSL cards for everyday rag-chewing or contest QSOs. I can understand the desire for cards to confirm an unusual contact, for example a very long distance LF QSO. My QSL policy is therefore to only send cards in response to those who QSL direct and who also include adequate return postage.
