Now retired after a career working in the U.K. Electricity Supply Industry as a professional engineer and latterly as an engineering manager.

Operate mostly on CW with some SSB and Data modes. I am a member of FOC, HSC, VHSC, SHSC and the A1 Ops Club. Other radio interests are contesting and home construction. I have recently built the Pic-a-Star all-band 100W SSB/CW transceiver designed by G3XJP and the N2PK Vector Network Analyser (VNA), which is the most useful piece of test gear that I own.

QTH is the rural village of Bramham, located mid-way between Leeds and York. My WAB Area is SE44 in West Yorkshire.

5BWAZ, 9BDXCC and DXCC Honor Roll CW and Mixed (just need P5)

Previous callsigns: 9G5SW, C56SW, 5B/G3VMW and GD3VMW.

DXpedition team member at XZ0A, D68C, 5V7A, 9G5VJ, P3F (CQWW CW Contests) and ET3AA (Sept 1997).

Equipment is a Yaesu FTdx5000D or Ten-Tec Orion and an Acom 2000A amplifier or 2 x 3-500Z home-made amplifier. For the Data modes, I use a Microham micro KEYER II USB interface with MMTTY or MMVARI from Logger 32.

Antennas are a 5-band Traffie HX5bi Hexbeam 20-10m on a 15m tower, 2 x 20m doublet with separate balanced tuners for 80m, 40m and 30m plus a 160m Inverted L.

Please QSL via the Bureau, LOTW or Direct with self-addressed envelope and either 1 current IRC or 2 US dollars to cover return postage.

PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT the QSL Manager for ET3AA. Please do not send me QSL cards for ET3AA QSOs, I am unable to assist.

All QSL cards for ET3AA should be sent to: P.O. Box 7392, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
