Wythall Radio Club is based at Wythall House, Silver Street, Wythall. Near Birmingham. We meet every Tuesday at 8:00PM, Meetings are informal and friendly. we generaly meet in the bar before moving downstairs to the shack.

The club takes part in the Wythall Carnival, JOTAs, Beer and Skittles evenings, we have Christmas parties and the club Christmas Contest which really gets many members in touch with each other.

Wythall Contest Group is part of Wythall Radio club, formed several years ago when contests began to be entered in earnest by several club members. Membership is automatically granted to all members of Wythall Radio Club itself, although only a die-hard group of individuals turn out to enter the contests !

The aims of Wythall Contest Group are:

To encourage amateur radio contesting amongst members of Wythall Radio Club To improve operating proficiency To have fun and finally : To do better than last year ! The contest group enters over 40 contests per year using all contest bands from 1.8 MHz to 1296 MHz, including SSB, CW, and RTTY. On HF, RSGB, CQ, BARTG, IARU and ARRL contests have been entered amongst others.
