I first became interested in radio in the late 1970's after accidently discovering  VHF aircraft coms on an old multi band portable receiver . I was totally hooked and spent several years as a SWL before passing the then Radio Amateurs Exam in 1982  (at the age of 16 ). Aside from Amateur Radio I'm still very interested in utility and broadcast monitoring and spend most of my time listening around on the HF bands rather than transmitting .

My Home QTH is near to the City of Southampton which is famous for its busy maritime port and very close to the beautiful landscape of the New Forest National park. The New Forest was first established nearly 1000 years ago in 1079 by William the Conqueror as a 150 square mile new Royal hunting ground ( Nova Foresta ) .

Due to antenna restrictions at my home QTH I currently run in a low profile stealth mode. I also frequently work mobile / portable at several nearby locations in the New Forest or by the sea front .

My other interests include playing guitar and keyboards and if I have any spare time left ! I also enjoy Digital photography .

If you can hear my 100W over the QRM - I look forward to working you on the bands in the near future.

Any reports from SWL's would also be very welcome via eQSL many TNX
