Thanks for looking me up - hopefully you are looking at this page because we worked on the bands.
My interest in the hobby is due to my school physics teacher - Howard Stockley G3LLS,who, on discovering I was intested in radio, encouraged my mum to buy me my first receiver - an Eddystone 840c, with a 2m converter for listening to the local 2m traffic. The receiver was bought from Robin G3OTY, and I spent many late evenings listening to this new world.
I took my RAE at 19 years old, qualifying a class B licence which enabled activity upto 6 metres, sadly I left the hobby due to work and other things happening in my life when I was around 25 years old.I returned in 2007, and am now active on most bands at sometime or other. Interested in chatting, antennas and learning from better qualified people than myself!
