GB400IYA was an independent “IYA” awareness project, managed by active full members of the Norman Lockyer Observatory Society who are astronomers and full licensed radio amateurs.  Please note that the Special Event Station had no connection with a radio group which meets at the Observatory.

The Station was operated Saturday and/or Sunday each week through 2009 until 31st December.
