Peter Mercer was licenced on 21 October 1983 as a Class "A" Amateur

Born on 11th May 1944 in Bilston England.

Joined the Royal Corps of Signals straight from School at the Age of 15 Years

at the Army Apprentice College in Harrogate, Yorkshire. Served in the Signals for 20 years as a Radio Telegraphist and Communication Centre Supervisor

Primarily on GATEWAY COMCAN Installations.

Left the Army at 35 years and served a further 20 years in Government Service

He is now out to grass in the Rolling Countryside of County Down Northern Ireland,

with his wife Esme two daughters NOW ENJOYING THE PEACE AND QUIET OF RETIREMENT AND THE ENJOYMENT OF AMATEUR RADIO
