My name is Phil Cooper, GU0SUP, and I have had a full license since January 1994.

I am mainly active on RTTY, but occasionally use PSK, JT65/JT9-1 and also CW.

You will often find me in most RTTY contests, and also chasing the DX on RTTY.

I have DXCC, WAZ, WAS, and 5BWAC, all on RTTY. I am also trying for WAS with JT65, just for the fun of it.

My antennas are a TGM Communications MQ26 mini-beam for 20/17/15/12/10m, plus a half-size G5RV for 40/30m and an inverted L for 40/80m.

My shack comprises an Icom IC7800, (it has replaced the IC756Pro) and for RTTY I use MMTTY.

In the picture below, you can see the IC7800 to the right, along with a monitor connected to show the screen. Under the middle monitor is my Microham MKII, and to the left of that is an IC7000. Under the IC700 is my Yaesu G600RC rotator controller with an ERC computer interface. to the right is my computer box.

My IC7800 setup

All logging, packet cluster etc are done through the DXLab Suite of software by AA6YQ. For contesting, I use Writelog.

The shack PC is an Intel Pentium III Xeon 2.6GHz dual core processor, 4GB RAM and running Win7 (32bit), into twin monitors

I now use a Microham MKII interface, which works very well.

I use LoTW, but also reply to all incoming bureau and direct cards.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND IRC's. We cannot exchange them in Guernsey.

My log is also uploaded to ClubLog (www.cluclog.org/) and a search tool for my log is here:
