Firstlicenced in 1971main interest being casual HF Dxing. Current rigs are Yaesu FT2000,Yaesu FT1000MP (15 years old but still going strong) Icom IC756 Pro2. (and various V.H.F/UHF.rigs) with home built Linear amp for HF bands utilising a single 8877 ceramic triode (designed and constructed by RossGW3NWS) also RM electronics SLA 300 solid state amp. Antennas comprise 3 ele SteppIR yagi,Quarter wave ground plane for 40 meters,doublet for 80/160 meters (100 metres long) tuned with open wire feeders and various V.H.Fantennas all on a 20 meter high crank up tilt over tower.
