The amateur radio station GW8IZR is located on the Island of Anglesey. We are located just off the North Wales coast. My activities include VHF and UHF DX operation, particularly MS, weak signal tropo and EME.

Whilst I can be QRV on most HF bands the station is optimised for VHF and UHF. I do enjoy 160m DX but without doubt my greatest radio pleasures are struggling to hear a weak eme signal or chasing ES dx.

All qsl cards are up to date as of March 08 the next batch will be posted to the bureau in December 08

I'm always happy to respond to sked requests and this year efforts will be focused on 50MHz and 70MHz. X-band is fine. Dont ask me to use the ON4KST service as I prefer my QSO's to be completed on radio.

QSL Policy - All stations working GW8IZR get a card for the first contact on any band/mode. This card is sent automatically via the RSGB bureau These cards are processed in batches but they WILL be sent Any card received directly with an envelope will get a card returned direct, this will be posted within a few days. I'm currently quite behind with my direct returns for which I pass on my apologies. I will process them in the December Christmas break. I never try to make profit from my hobby so if you include a dollar bill etc, it will be returned to you in your envelope with my card and respect.
