Hello and thanks for looking me up. My name is George. I live in Csepel island in Budapest. This island is surrounded by River Danube, and located in the southern part of the city.
I have been interested in electronics and radios since my childhood. I got admitted to a highschool, where the Csepel Radio Club was working. I became a club member in 1977. The call signs of the club were: HA5KKG, HA5KHG, HA5KND, HG19HB.
I've had my callsign since 1982. I was very radioactive at that time. I took part in some DX-Peditions, and lots of contests from various contest stations. Then I got married and became a bit inactive.
Recently I am getting closer to my hobby again, as my children grow up and I have more and more time.
My main interests are: DX-ing, Contesting, Collecting DXCC - CQ - IOTA awards.
Meanwhile my favorite mode is CW, I'm active on digital modes lately.
Here's a few JT65 eQSL card from my collection.
I'm member of HADXC, HACWG, A1 op, 30MDG Clubs, and HG7T contest team.
My station comprises of Kenwood TS-590.
Aerials are Inverted Vee, Cushcraft R7 and 5 L YU7EF yagi for 6M.
My QSL policy: I upload all my contacts to LOTW almost every week and to eQSL immediately.
If you need my paper QSL, please send your request via the Bureau. I recommend to use the Clublog's OQRS system. You can find a link at the bottom of this page. I will send my card via the Bureau as soon as possible. If you are not member of any QSL bureau, or you need my card urgently, please send your QSL request by mail. No green stamp, or IRC necessary, but a self-addressed return envelope welcomed. If you have any question, you can find me on Skype: geosz1
Other than amateur radio, my interests include a variety of Hiking, cycling, and spending time with family and friends.
