Started amateur radio activity as SWL HA6-020 in 1966. Achieved CHC membership. (SWL-CHC #2882)Collected QSL cards from more than 200 countries.

Got my licence/callsign HA6NN in 1970. I was nominated President of Nograd County Amateur Radio Ass'n (HA/HG6N. call area).

I was the one who proposed the use of HG callsigns on the high frequency bands instead of HA, and to use short contest callsigns like HG6N. (I have also organized and lead the building of HG6N contest station and the first two towers, etc.)

Represented Hungary at several IARU Region 1 Conferences. As HF Manager for Hungary I wrote a number of proposals which were mostly accepted. I proposed to change the name of IARU Radio Sport Championship to IARU HF World Championship, the most popular HF contest recently.

I was elected for Secretary General of MRASZ, the Hungarian Amateur Radio Society in 1989. I served MRASZ for about a year and a half and then resigned because of my different views about managing the Society.

On the picture you can see me in a boat -the old man on the Hungarian See- on Lake Balaton. (Sharks was out of the view of the camera. :) )
