I was born in Seoul, Korea at 1961 and started amateur radio since 1987.

On 1995, I was operating DS0DX/2 IOTA solo DXpedition from Paengnyong island very near from North Korea( I could see P5 territory from sea shore) during medical service in red cross hospital of that remote small island and received AS-122 new number firstly.

On 1996, I was doing medical mission in Pohnpei State Hospital of Micronesia and made 1400 QSOs as V63CT. On July 2000, I was joining Korea DX Club IOTA DXpedition team to Wi island and we received AS-148 new number after 4500 QSOs.

My profession is an eye surgeon. My wife is KI6SNP Kim and she is also an eye surgeon. We do private medical practice in Seoul.

I am an amateur violinist and started when I was 7 years old. I was a member of Korea Junior Symphony Orchestra and it was sponsored by Korea Blue House (President House). I was master of Chung Ang Medical School orchestra.

Now my US call is AH2Y and extra class VE of ARRL proudly. We made ARRL Seoul VE team which is composed of AH2Y(HL1IWD), WX8C(HL1/WX8C), N9AGH(DS2AGH)and KG6IJR(HL1LW). We did FCC test once a year in regular base.

From 1 AUG 2010, I am becoming new president of Korea DX Club(KDXC).

My operations are 99.9% CW!

I send all my QSL cards from my home QTH QSO via bureau automatically.

In same band & mode, I send only one paper QSL card via bureau.

Korean bureau is very effectively working and I send my cards to bureau monthly.

Update (31 July 2012): I was visiting Ethiopia, Africa during 21 - 26 July 2012 and visited ET3AA Ethiopia Unversity, Institute of Technology club station and got warm welcome!. I made only 11 QSOs as ET3AA callsign.
